The revolution is not ON.

That is a vast over reaction, and I feel like it’s a standard leftist belief that actions like this symbolize something grander.

Workers in this shop took drastic action, and it worked, but it worked for something small. The factory is not getting left open and run by the workers, the workers aren’t even pushing for that.

This is a great victory, but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

There is much work to do.

Sure, there’s a lot of work to do. But this is the most militant mass action I have heard of in decades. For a few days, large sectors of the working class were buzzing about this.

It’s certainly important to realize the limitations of an action like this, but it’s also important to celebrate victories. This struggle briefly opened up a window into what would be possible if more workers were in unions like UE.

We know how to build unions. With capital in crisis, the workers movement has the potential to grow meteorically.

If workers continue organizing, there is no reason not to believe that the revolution is not possible.
